The creator of The Little Bears Nursery has been a qualified teacher since 2011 and has specialised in the Early Years. The vision behind The Little Bears has developed from her own experience teaching in EYFS and seeing children come to school not properly equipped for their new journey. Starting school can be a daunting experience if children are not ready for the pace of school life. Our passion is to ensure that when children leave The Little Bears they will be confident and prepared for their next chapter. We seek to provide children with opportunities to explore, play and take risks. We encourage individuality and children to express themselves.
Children learn best when they are happy and healthy. We aim to ensure while in our care your child will be in a safe, stimulating and engaging environment.
We aim to provide opportunities for children to use their imagination to create their own learning experiences. We involve children in structured adult led tasks teaching them the vital skills they need to be ready for school.
We are committed to ensuring your child’s individual needs are met through our individualised planning and treating each child as a unique individual.
I have been really impressed with the everyday organisation and the skills my child has picked up ready for school. You also put high importance on developing confidence in small/ large groups.
Staff go the extra mile: from singing and sharing birthday cakes, making birthday cards for family members and including children in all events even if it is not their normal day. The use of Tapestry really helps us to have an insight into what goes on behind closed doors as well as preparing the children for what is coming up.
The staff are all very friendly and we have been made to feel very welcome.
Little Bears consistently goes above and beyond to give our children the best opportunities to aid all areas of their development.
I love the light and airy space so refreshing to many nurseries I’d visited. It’s so well thought out. Mrs Walter was very professional and so enthusiastic about early years. I was made to feel really comfortable leaving my girls. They have settled in really well and go in very happy. I’m so pleased I picked little bears!
Mrs Walter has been fantastic and is extremely lovely and the ladies that work there are very welcoming and ever so friendly. The whole atmosphere and the way it is set out inside and out is outstanding and I know my little girl will thrive in every way possible.
I am so glad I chose The Little Bears Nursery for my boys. They are learning new things all the time and excited about what they are learning. The Staff are all lovely and I can leave my boys there feeling they are safe and well cared for with experienced staff.
Amazing new nursery set up. As a teacher myself, I can appreciate the quality that is being offered here.
This is such a beautiful nursery. The layout is amazing. The staff are professional and very friendly. So happy I managed to get my son a place.
The Little bears has really changed my perception of nurseries. I can not recommend The Little Bears enough. The facilities are incredible, the main room is one of the largest I visited and to have a separate dinning room, quiet room and then the large hall next door meant there is always so much to do. I never feel like he is just stuck in a room.
One of our main goals is to have your child school ready by the end of their time at The Little Bears Nursery.
With the nursery manager being a fully qualified teacher of the early years foundation stage to lead the way.
Our policies and procedures are based around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
What makes us different from other nurseries is our huge Learning Hub and private hall for activities.
At The Little Bears Nursery we encourage children of all ages to interact with each other in our open plan style learning hub, creating role models within the older children.
I qualified as a teacher in 2011 and from there specialised in the EYFS. I wanted to create my own nursery setting where I could lead by example in getting children ‘school ready’. I believe that preparing children for school is something that needs to be embedded from a young age with emphasis placed on the 3 prime areas of learning. My passion is to ensure that when children leave The Little Bears they will be confident and prepared for their next chapter. I want children to have a love for learning and to be inspired to follow their dreams.
